If you are trying top make a show truck out of it The road will be long & very costly IMHO.
If you are going to make it a solid daily driver/nice old truck then go for it.

I've been welding parts on my truck for years and replacing worn out mechanical stuff and everyone checks it out regardless of its "not so perfect" bodywork.
If it were me and it were my project...first make sure all the body parts I'd need are assesable. Then if they were (meaning that the rot doesnt go too far beyond the reaches of the repair panels) I'd invest in a gas Mig welder and a few other body working tools. Then I'd start getting it mechanically sound & reliable. Once all the heavy wrench turning is done, hit the electrical, then last the body. Thats just my way, not necessarily the right way.

From the pics of your other projects fixing the truck would be easy for you. It would make a cool rat rod.

it's sad to see all the post on new cabs i,'d fix it THERE AINT'T MANY LEFT i have saved alot worse you can do it here's my present project HOMEMADE FLOORPAN ,CAB MOUNT AND BRACE

Are you serious? There are tons of these things out there when you start lookin.

Of course, VT and Can may be different stories

Still it would be nice to be able to fix it up, if anything it would be a good experience. I know everyone has an opinion here and that's the way it should be so mine is to fix it.

If you want a project that you can brag about before and after pics, this is the one!!!

On the brighter side once you get done you'll pretty much have a new truck.
