door question
i have the 82 chevy and my doors are rotting out plus the PO cut the door to stick 6X9 speakers in there
I found a door for it ( one of two) and this door looks off.. isnt there some kind of vent that belongs in the door underneath the carpet if installed?? this door must be aftermarket if there is no vent right?

Re: door question
I believe the earlier doors didn't have the vents. I had a 77 pu and a 79 blazer that didn't have any vents in the door.

Re: door question
Another question....whats the difference between 73-76 doors and 77-91's doors? because i think i have a 74 truck that i was going to use the doors off of for my 84...will they not work on the 84?

Re: door question
i know one of the differences is the way the interior panels work the earlier trucks have shorter panels therefore the holes wont line up also inside the doors the window cranks are different the newer dsoors the shafts on the window crank is about a half inch or so longer...CaptKaos knows the rest

Re: door question
ALL pickup doors had vents from the factory. If they don't have them it has to be aftermarket.
73-76 door: 77-up door: In a nutshell, The guts of the 2 versions aren't the same. You can bolt any complete door onto any vehicle. You can't bolt 77-up door panels on 73-76 or vise versa the 77 up doors changes were for the implementation of power windows.
