Re: Post your 67-72 Dash!
This is a realy nice 67 only GMC dash. The fawn color of the dash is the color clear through the bezel. 67 GMCs were the only trucks with them. WES

Re: Post your 67-72 Dash!
Hi there, great pictures, love them. I would like to put a set of accurate Autometer gauges in my 69 C10, how difficult is it to add aftermarket gauges into the stock dash? What is involved?

Re: Post your 67-72 Dash!
Here are mine... The finished one I built for my 68 with all autometers.. The unfinished one is for my 67 shop truck.. I mounted a digital tach/shift light combo behind here the temp gauge was in the stock cluster.. not installed in this pic though but worked out really well..

Re: Post your 67-72 Dash!
Some really cool custom ideas in this thread.
C10Addict, what is that spedo out of? I remember the thread from a while back and thinking you were crazy. I cant wait to see the finished product, its gonna look incredible! I want to do something similar when I start my "ratrod" project.

The speedo is out of a 57 Chevy truck... I took some time off working on the truck but I am back at it full steam now.... Decided to use a step side bed and learning that when you make it really low you can't fit a big wheel/tire under the fender...

Re: Post your 67-72 Dash!
Got them from McMaster-Carr ( they are out of Atlanta ), they sell EVERYTHING !!!. We use them alot to buy various parts for the equipment we design and build.
www.mcmastercarr.com just look up knobs in the search, they are tapped 1/4-20. I have them on the light switch, wiper switch, e-brake pull knod and the air cleaner nut. They have knurled edge and are aluminum. |
