Kudos to Desert Rat
Sorry, I accidently posted on the parts board and I wanted it here:
With all of the mud slinging at DR I wanted to take an opportunity to let the people who are newer to this board know that he is really a great guy to deal with and very knowledgable as well. I have been buying parts from him for the last several months both for my big block Camaro and for my future big block 4x4. He has been very patient while educating me and willing to send me out alternate parts when I had asked for the wrong thing initially. He was doing this while dealing with some pretty heavy issues in his own life. I am not starting this thread to contest the concerns that were raised previously but just as a message to those who don't know him. DR is a valuable resource both in parts and knowledge and if you let these past reports sway you from dealing with him you are doing yourself a disservice. OK, I will get off of my soap box now ------------------ 72 GMC 3/4 4X4 350/350 67 Camaro 427/700R4 "Twin Peaks", WA

I guess I've missed what is going on with the Rat, but bad or good, he's still our one and only Rat, and I got a kick out of a lot of his commentary, even though I didn't agree with some of it. The man just went through an ordeal that I hope none of the rest of us ever have to experience, and a little venting, medicinally induced or not, was quite acceptable to me (it wasn't like I had to read it). He's a classic truck man, and that makes him OK in my book. None of us are perfect, we just drive the perfect truck!

He's storing CPNE's suburban till they can get out from NH to pick it up. He didn't have to do that, either.
