power stearing upgrade
i know this musta been posted before but a quick search din't turn up a quick answer. i wanna put power stearing on my 69 c10. i have the compleate setup from ps box to outer ti rods all in one piece sitting on the garage floor from a 79 gmc 1/2 ton. what is the easiest way to do this? do i need just the box and pump or everything, thanks

Bolt the box and pitman arm on. You don't need to change the whole steering linkage, just the pitman.
Install a power steering pump and brackets onto the engine. It depends on whether your truck uses short (original) or long (not original) water pump setup. You pump and brackets will need to match whatever your engine has. Install the two lines between the box and pump, fill with fluid, bleed and enjoy.

I thought someone posted that you need to use the matching idler arm for the pump/pitman arm.

Nope, idler arms are the same, the only difference concerning the steering linkage is the pitman arm. Manual versus power steering use two different pitmans.
