HELP~! How to remover upper molding clips?

HELP~! How to remover upper molding clips?
I got all the trim off. Now I need to know how to remove these blasted clips. I went to a local body shop and all they had to say was use a die grinder. I said that sounds like a SOB and could be hazardous to the body metal. Anyone ever removed these? I would like to know how it is SUPPOSED to be done properly.

Some have nuts behind them and some were a "push in and click" type. I think most of the upper trim is the bolt on type (3/8" nuts) I have seen some bottom trim put on with the "clip in the hole" type. You have to squeeze the clip together from the back side and push it throught the hole. I hope my lame description helps you some. Good luck, Joe

They are theaded on and can be removed with a wrench or nut driver if the parts are off the truck. If not and you are not removing the fenders you can lightly grind the centers of the clips and push the studs through. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
