bagging a 68???

how are you guys baggin your 68 c10's?? i want it to lay out, so tell me how you all are getting them to lay.

are you leaving the trailing arms in, and using the coil spring pocket??

are you using an upper and lower bag cup on the front?

and where are you getting 6 lug 20's at? or is it cheaper to do a five lug swap and get 5 lug rims??

If you want it to really lay (frame ) you'll need to either Z the frame or mod/replace the front x member. Also your tranny and link bar x members will need to be raised or modded. You will have a tough time with the stock link bars as they contact the frame before the frame contacts the ground. Use the search to find many previous posts that go into more detail.
six lug wheels are just, as if not more, common in 20"+ sizes due to the newer GM suvs are still six lug and all the homies rollin escalades in their music videos making that look popular.Cool thing is they have been high positive offset(fwd) since 88 and even stock wheels will tuck like a motorhome on our old trucks(some center bore mod. might be required for newer stock wheels). I don't think GM has a car app with the big 5 pattern anymore and even the compact and 2wd truck seem to be going to six. That said most companies still make the 5 on 5" pattern for their wheels.

well im going to Z the frame, but is it better to mod or raise the tranny crossmember? and on the front do the bags have upper and lower cups

when you Z the frame you have to move the tranny youthe same. for a front crossmember section you dont, most roun into streering linkage problems over 1.5" section.

I wouldn't say better just different ways to get to the same end. If you have the requisite skills and can do the work yourself then Z away. as mentioned large Z's may have steering issues to address.
I have the skills ( welding eng. degree with 15 years on the torch+ 15years air ride exp.) to do it my self but since I'm a lil older and now have a few more dollars than minutes I chose a bolt-in x-member swap. If you're going to pay a shop to do your Z it will more than likely out cost in labor what a good do it yourself bolt in x-member will cost. One brand name in particular stands out and a quick search of the board I'm sure you can find it.

For the front, most guys use upper plates from ***************** and lower cups. Get the cups from airride, not suicidedoors. The cups from airride are a little smaller in diameter and will sit down in your spring pocket better.
