front end alignment spec. ?
I have a 3/4 ton, 2wd,1972 GMC I just had restored and I need to get the front end aligned. Does anyone know what the alignment adjusts(caster,camber,toe in, etc.) should be? It is a 3/4 ton truck.Thank you everyone.

You want to set up your alignment based on how you drive.
highway - I would set your caster to about 3.5 - 5.0 degrees intown - I would set your caster to 2.5 - 3.5 degrees As for the camber and toe, the stock settings are fine. If you have manual steering, I would go with the lower caster setting as it will make it tougher to turn in parking lots. |

Your alignment needs to be set to how you drive it and what tires are on it. The settings are different for radial tires and bias tires. The specs list in the second post look very good IF you are running radial tires. The factory settings the caster would have been about O degrees, maybe even negative on a manual steering truck. I did alignments for 15 years and it really is amazing how different an old chevy can drive when the caster specs are set for the tire that is being used.
