Went and picked up the new speedo cable and installed it.
Then I started on the door adjustment, took me awhile but I got the door to shut and lock both. It took some shimming but now it shut's without slamming it.
Once I got the door to work correctly I did the driver's side door panel. I have to either dye the armrest or buy new ones. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Here are the door panels my wife & I did tonight. Hope to have the passenger side done by tomorrow night.

Did some work under the hood also. When I installed the water jug for the windsheild wiper I covered up the old speedo hole so I had to move it to put the cable back like it should be. Had to put the jug out on the fender.
I had the red loom stuff so I redid it also.

Door panel looks great.... The wire looms always seem to make things look cleaner under the hood...

Great job on the door panels... The truck is coming along very nicely. My suggestion for your arm rests would be to paint them. I did my dash pad with SEM products. As long as you prep the items using their vinyl wash and don't touch it with your fingers before the paint is applied, it sticks like glue. I can take my fingernail to the dash pad and the color will not come off... Very durable if applied properly.

I really like your door panels. Simple, but very cool. I have been undecided how I was going to mount my window switches. After seeing yours I can see I was over thinking it. I'm probably going to copy you.

Thanks guy's, no problem with copying the idea. I did too! Here is the passenger side done. I learned a few things while doing the driver's side so I went back and redid it also. Looks a lot better.

I thought it did to but I wanted to change out the black and add some color under the hood.

OK I'm satisfied with them but was wondering what they would look like with the chrome trim around the edge of the panels...what do you all think?
Something like this if I can find it big enough to slip over the material.

What's that filter box out of, a 90's Cadillac? If so I have one I'm thinking of using on something also. Mine has a "hat" that fits over the TBI that also fits a Q-jet ot Holley carb.

If I remeber right it's like a 90 Seville caddy. I pluged the factory open with sheet metal and drilled a 4" hole in the bottom of it. Used to coupler's and a 90 from Lowes. Drilled another 4" hole where the old regulator was mounted.

I agree!. I would paint the engine bay and swap out all those red looms for black ones. You have alot of custom items on your truck. What holds the panels on???

I'm not sure if the wire loom will stay or not???

The door panels ar being held by the plastic Christmas Tree's for a lack of better tirm.

I bought the pleather for the dash 60" long. The door panel material was three yards worth. It was already to go just cut and glue it on.
