700R4 Help Please???????!!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I am installing a 350 with a 700R4 into my 70 stepside to get my truck up and running while I sort my big block build out. What do I need to properly install this transmission into my truck. I have the crossmember! What else needs to be done. I also have the lokar kit that connects to the automatic shift selector on the column. What type of TV cable do I need? I got the engine out of a 87 C-20 conversion van. I am changing the intake over to a carb setup. Thanks in advance.

Re: 700R4 Help Please???????!!!!!!
check out bowtieoverdrives.com. They have a (expensive) kit that includes the correct tools to correct any geomitry issues you may/WILL have on the carb, and it includes the tools to checck the line pressure.
If the line pressure is not dead on right, the tranny will only last 10 to 20,000 miles, then it will be a core. Do it right, do it once, spend the money. |
