converting long bed to short?
I was woundering what is involved in this and am considering doing it to my 67. I have seen a few people doing this on this forum and was woundering if they could share some pics and thoughts on this. I think converting my long box to a short would be cool and worth the time it would take to do so.

Re: converting long bed to short?
thanks, that really helped.
Now the only other thing i have to consider is bedsides. If i purchased new ones from lmc im looking at close to $1000. The probability of me finding used bedsides around here are very unlikely so i was thinking about cutting my long bedsides and shortening them. anyone ever done this? would i only have to take length out of the front part of the bed or would i have to cut some off the back aswell? how much longer are the long bedsides compared to the short? |

Re: converting long bed to short?
Look up "LFD's Low Buck Truck Build" in the project section. It has all the info you are needing with pic's.

Re: converting long bed to short?
I had to buy a complete SWB donor truck when doing mine for the bed... also had a few other nifty parts. Good luck with it, short fleets are the way to go IMO.
