Saved another from the crusher... Pics...

Pretty sad shape. 71, CST, was a 350. I will get a few parts from it. And before someone else says it, NO, it won't buff out. HAHA What else is there to do when it is around zero degrees? Enjoy.

Re: Saved another from the crusher... Pics...

i doubt there are two tanks... that was probably a whip antenna from the CB craze. Both 'fillers' are to the rear of the axle, where there is only room for one tank.
You gonna part this out... or you thinking of trying to save it?

Re: Saved another from the crusher... Pics...

70rs, double wall top i believe.
Randy. Yeah, below zero windchills. And today is the warm day of the week.
Andy, you are correct about the whip antenna bracket. Kind of looks like another gas tank opening. I think it is beyond saving. Frame looks decent, and so does the windshield frame. Too cold to get too far into it today.
Jamie, that caught my eye also.
Jeff, they are easy to find when you aren't looking. Did you find the int. code you were looking for?

Nope, I guess there is not a code for "saddle cloth trim"
I'll have to stop looking for it and maybe it will turn up!

Re: Saved another from the crusher... Pics...

I think the question was 71 vs 72 in reference to the top.
I`ve discovered that these truck will let you know when they`re done, like a butterball turkey. When the door handle button colapses,it`s time to restore or part.

Re: Saved another from the crusher... Pics...

Tim, both door handle buttons are gone. What does that mean???
I think the pics make it look better than it is. Both quarter panels flop around when the doors are closed. Almost up to zero outside, maybe a couple more pics today...
