Re: I still need 68 GMC hubcap...
Not sure what you mean by "clip-style" but it is a 1/2 ton. They just snap on the wheel and pry off with a screwdriver, etc.
I actually have the four caps, but one got banged up pretty good after it popped from the truck. I did some searching last night and found a site that may have it ($45- ouch!). I'm calling today to see if they have one in good condition. |

I just bought a 3/4 ton that had 3 caps that look just like that. They are greasy and faded, but not banged up. if you are interested I can take some pictures

Re: I still need 68 GMC hubcap...
Look at the back side of the cap to determine what style it is. The two on the left are 1/2 ton and the one on the right is a 3/4 ton "clip" style cap.
I have seen them at a place called "Hubcap Annies". They are a couple of outlets in the West. A good cap can cost about $30+. To get one completely restored is about $50 as I recall. If you can get a new or NOS cap for $45...go for it...it's a good deal!

67mater, I called the hubcap place and the guy said he had one that was in pretty good shape (remains to be seen) so I ordered it. If it comes in and it's not better than what I have, I'll shoot you a pm. AuggieStyle, thanks for tip. I could always paint one to match mine or convert them all to chrome. Problem is I don't want to get stuck with a buch of them and not need them. |

Re: I still need 68 GMC hubcap...
Auggie...thanks for the link! Those are the first GMC clipless style caps I have seen in the '67-'68 years. Very interesting! They will fit on later wheels with the external nubs.
BTW...those should be polished stainless, not chrome.

Re: I still need 68 GMC hubcap...
Can I jumpstart and hijack an old thread vs starting a new one? If so, can anyone part with a 67/68 GMC clip or nub style hubcap? Polished, gray, white, doesn’t matter. They’re all the same to me.
