side winow track issue?

alright guys.

i did some searching before posting, to try to alleviate this..but..

in the midst of the tree-truck incident, my dad must've bumped the driver side glass with his arm, and it got knocked out of the slot that it shares with the vent window.

i haven't tore into it yet, but is there a way to get it back in..or...?

i'm not real familiar with the guts of a door, so ANY input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

-Sam.

Re: side winow track issue?

If things aren't too FUBAR you should be able to pull your door panel and remove the two screws near the bottom of the door that holds the division bar in place. Then along the top of the door where the vent window is, there will be 4 phillips head screws. Remove those and you should be able to wiggle the vent window assembly out and re-install it with the side glass riding in the channel like it is supposed to.

If he loosens the two bottom screws and the 4 screws that hold the top in and can roll the window down he may be able to get it back in the track without pulling the vent window out.... Just a thought.
