Suspension
I have an 82 c10 lwb 4x2, i would like to lift the front of it only about 2 inches or so to have it level and not drop the back at all. Has anyone done this to there rides? Would like to know what i need and where i can get it. Thanks in advance.

i have the same truck and i have the heavy ( 8 leaf pack) int he back and was told that the rake is cause of that, it would be easier to remove two leafs to get it to sit level and add brand new front springs
I had talked to a guy in a suspension shop cause i thought my fronts were sagging but he said thats how they sit personally i like the rake looks cool IMHO

my 2wd front sagged, but i put 1 ton springs up front and lifted it about 2 inches, but the ride was STIFF!!!! I recently had the rubber spacers installed above my coils and replaced the 1 ton springs with 1/2 tons again, and it sat about the samebut the ride was MUCH smoother

Unless you plan on putting larger tires on it (31-32") I would suggest looking at bringing the rear down. If you do want to lift the front, put 1ton/Diesel coils on the front. My 82 had them and it levelled out the truck and allowed me to run 31" tires with no rubbing and 32" tires with slight rubbing. Check my signature for the link to my 82 if you want to see what it looked like. The ride may have been slightly rougher than the 1/2ton springs, but with the larger tires it wasnt too bad. After all it is a truck.
