? about 6cyl flywheel

will the 6 cyl flywheel work on a sb v-8 eng. when changing from a 6 cyl to a sb.thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, the 6-cyl flywheel works just fine on SB V8 conversions. I swapped my 230ci I6 with 3-speed manual to a 350 V8, and you can use the 6-cyl flywheel, bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, and starter. I think I even used my 6-cyl water pump pulley.

230/250 flywheel works , but a 292 flywheel wont.....crazyL

Good point. Which reminds me, the 230/250 flywheel will work with MOST small blocks, but not a small block 400, which requires a counterweighted flywheel.

Yup, & will work with most early Big blocks, cept the 454 crazyL
