Shock Mount ?

Hey everyone i am lowering my 72 chevy 6 inchs in the rear and i am not going to order the shock relocater kit. I am going to try to air chisel or sawzal off the factory brackets and bolt them or weld them where they need to be. Can anyone tell me where i need to mount these factory brackets at to get the shock in the right place. I am useing all stock stuff just relocating the top bracket. I pic would be nice but any info would greatly be apreciated thanks a bunch.
