Question Fiberglass 72 GOOD idea or BAD?

im looking to restore my 72 chevy and want to just go nuts and replace the doors box sides and front clip with fiberglass i have found a site that will sell me the parts. But was wondering if anyone knows of a better site or place and if anyone has done a job like this before and had any good tips. Or just what you think about a fiberglass street machine any ideas or comments are welcome.

Oh yah that site is http://www.usbodysource.com/

Most of what I know about them is from other people. With that said they generally make body parts for race cars.Traditionally race parts are thin and lightweight but will not hold up to street use.

Re: Fiberglass 72 GOOD idea or BAD?

thanks for all the good points i have been told by the sales person over the phone that they have different kinds of panels drag race panels which are very lightweight and your right would not be good for street use and then they have offroad panels which they assured me would be strong enough for any replacement i gues it seems that this is the olny place i can find the replacement panels i was looking for maybe a different site to compare it to or some one that has done a similiar project

I think a one piece tilt front end would be nice (don't know how hard to line up right). Don't think I'd do the doors or anything else..
