Re: Rebuilt tilt steering column 67-72
Kept the end shaft and housing bearings replaced everything else. the bearings were in great shape just cleaned and repacked them. Entire column was stripped to bare bones powder coated, inspected, disected, injected and recreated. Just like New when finished.

Re: Rebuilt tilt steering column 67-72
That column is a show pc., nice work!! Any special tools required for disassembly? I want to fit the floor shift pc.(no holes for the automatic shifter) to mine. I bought it rebuilt, so I have no idea how disassembly goes.

Re: Rebuilt tilt steering column 67-72
I have one in my garage from my 69 I have wanted to rebuild. I will have to save and print those pics for inspiration. Very nice!
Oh, can the part that the gear selector shaft hooks to be ordered? Mine looks like it is going to break were the pin is. |

Re: Rebuilt tilt steering column 67-72
ttt..... for Retro68
Any info you can pass along? Where did you pick up your parts for your rebuild? What's a ballpark price for the rebuild that you did above?
