Bizarre hitch thingy, weight rating
My bumper is rated at 8000 lbs pull, 800 tongue weight. My receiver hitch is only rated 6000/600. My hitch seems stouter than my bumper. Make sense to anyone? My bumper was bought new in 96. My hitch was bought used but looks only a year or two old. Did they change rating standards in that time or something? Any ideas? Anyone got a similar situation?
