need a dash !
So I didnt realize that the metal dash was so hard to replace. Mine out of my 67 had some cosmetic issues, so I removed it. In the process of this it pretty much got destroyed to keep the windshield seal inset in tact. I went online to find my different options and I cant seem to find anything except dash pads. Am I looking at replacing the whole cab shell or cutting one out ? Does anyone make custom dashes for these, or is willing to ?
Thanks

The easy way is to take the dash pad off and cut it across the slots where the dash pad bolts go through, then take out the three or four bolts that hold the bottom part to the cowl on the sides and it will come right out. That way you don't have to mess with the top of it. Of course you should have the gauge cluster and glove box liner out and the heater cables and wiring unhooked.... Sounds like you are past that now though. You will have to find a used dash and try to fit in in and get it welded. You may still have to pull the windshield out..... LockDoc

Re: need a dash !
When I replaced mine, I just cut it all the way across under the dash pad and un-bolted the ends. Welded all the little spots and replaced the dash pad, re-bolted and away i went. Cant tell at all!

Re: need a dash !
I pulled one from a crusher. Just couldnt bear to see a uncut dash get flattened. It works good for mockups
