Thumbs down SBC Headers?

Are summits headers any good if I want to keep my peak power in the low to mid rpm range? Or are there any better for somewhere around the same price?

Re: SBC Headers?

Have you checked a local Checker Auto parts store? They usually carry Flowtechs at a reasonable price...

Re: SBC Headers?

the flowtech's and dynomax black jacks look the same to me but cost more then the summit ones.

I say go for it, I am. When we go to rebuild the 305 in our 84 c10 we are buying the summit brand headers.

Re: SBC Headers?

Make sure you get them coated if you dont you should send them off to get coated. I hate seeing great looking engines with dull rusted out headers. It will give you a good look in the engine bay and keep the temps down as well. I got lucky and found an edelbrock set up on ebay with y pipe and no dings. I sent them off to a place i ran across down in san diego. http://www.olycoatings.com/
Its a great spot. the people are nice and the work is top notch. I wish i took a picture of the headers when i got them back. Best of all the prices are very reasonable.
