Vendors sell cab mounting kits with rubber and hardware or just rubber, could all the hardware be bought at my local Ace Hardware for lss than the $20 difference in price?

I am not sure what the hardware includes, but I assume that it is the washers, nuts, and spacers. If the hardware includes the front and rear bolts, then I would buy the kit. You can make the spacers out of the right size pipe. Getting the large washers may be a problem. Finding the 9/16" nuts for the front will take some effort. If you need the rear bolts, those are hard to find, but you can make them with a 7/16" nut welded to threaded rod. The 9/16" front bolts are hard to find.

If your parts are good, that can make a difference, also.

I am looking at Chevy Duties listing of hardware and it includes the steel bushings, washers, bolts, nuts, and shims. It would be hard to get what you need from a local hardware and the parts will probably be more than $20. The last time that I got 9/16"
bolts from the specialty fastener company, they were $6 each or $12 for both. If the kit that you are looking at includes the bolts than $20 extra is well worth it.

Check your bolts to make sure that you need them before deciding.

I bought the complete cab mounting kit a few years back, it included everything for all 6 mounts, rubber, bolts, nuts, washers, spacers, unfortunately no instructions, lol. You better remember where everything goes when you remove the old ones. Btw, the kit cost me $102 Cdn. ya, I know, but they were the only game in town.

If memory serves me correctly, the back bolts are pointed, and go into nuts already welded onto the cab floor. They come up from the bottom.
The front bolts go down from the top.
Correct?
I bought one of the kits for my 72. Had to add several washers in the rear to make the side trim line up.
