Re: options for fuel injection

This is the fuel injection I'm going with

This is what I was going with when I was going to go TPI

Here is the solution for the TV cable on the 700r4. They also have one for the '82 - '86

Constant Pressure Valve Body™
Now Available For 1987-92 GM 700R4 Transmissions

Latest TCI® Constant Pressure Valve Body™ for GM 1987-92 700R4 eliminates low line
pressure condition and ensures perfect transmission operation
Guarantee proper performance with your 1987-92 GM 700R4 automatic transmission by
installing a new TCI® Constant Pressure Valve Body™. Many street performance enthusiasts
incorrectly install the critical TV cable that is used to set internal line pressure and part throttle
shifting by either leaving it disconnected or improperly adjusted. The result – less then optimum
line pressure that results in clutch and band slippage and ultimately, transmission failure.
Until recently, the TV cable adjustment on GM 700R4 transmissions often required an
experienced mechanic. Compatible with stock and aftermarket transmissions, installation of the
TCI® 700R4 Constant Pressure Valve Body™ avoids common transmission destruction by
maintaining adequate line pressure at all times. While the TV cable still needs connection for
proper transmission operation, the TCI® 700R4 Constant Pressure Valve Body™ provides more
liberty when setting part throttle shift points and works with a variety of cable brackets and
carburetor applications.
For more information about the TCI® 700R4 Constant Pressure Valve Body™ or any other
TCI® product, call us at 1-888-776-9824, or visit us online at www.tciauto.com.

I was shown some pictures of the finished product. At least it survived the junk yard.

Re: options for fuel injection

I have a 69 4x4 swb and I bought the holley commander 950. It's installed, well almost installed and has been almost to easy to install. Depending on injector size and what your motor can handle it's suppose to be good over 1,000 poneys. I got the system with injecters for 400-450 horses. Holley has been great in the technical service department and have answered all my questions regarding the product. The draw back is that you have to use a lap top to program the system, but it's nice to know that holley is there for you. Go to holley.com for info.
