4wd parts interest & value

i have found some parts but not sure how they would sale or what they are worth. if anyone can kind of help me with demand for them and a fair price for them. because sometimes i price my parts high because of what i have invested in them and from what i can find out by watching ebay. i try to buy to where i can sale at a fair price and make a few $'s for my time.
here we go
rancho 4 inch lift everything you need to do the job. it was bought and put on a truck and only used a little while.
70 or 71 blazer frame striped down to bear frame good shape.
a nos gm pair of 4wd shock mounts i think rear .
spicer locking hubs per set.
4wd steering box with about 5000 miles on it. i think it fits 67/87.
i am sure there will be more later.
i would rather sale my stuff to you guys than put it on ebay.
thanks for any help.

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

I'd also be intersted in the lift, but don't know what its worth, and shipping might get pricey.

Mine's currently a 2-3 inch lift with blocks in the back and shackles in front. Its creatively engineered and I'm wondering if the rear end is about to fall off. I at least need new spring plates...

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

A new 4" lift with blocks in rear goes for anywhere from $400.00 to $700.00. Steering boxes new go for about $175.00 to $230.00. ps box. Hope this helps.

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

That seems high for a block/shackle lift, but I can't say...

I guessed Bill meant a spring lift, front and rear, but maybe more info is needed.

BTW: The column I bought from Bill some time back was good, the price was right and arrived in a timely manner. This is related to a nearby thread praising Bill...

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

Rear springs alone are $250.00 to $350.00 just for them alone. It also depends on brand. I always use superlift or tuff country. I have lifted about 50 or so 67-72s but like to go with the best. Just my .02

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

I wasn't even attempting to guess at the price of parts to do it right w/ springs, but thought a pair of blocks and shackles don't seem to be worth "$400.00 to $700.00."

At the same time I'm nervous about the fact that I can wiggle the blocks on mine and don't think that's how it should be. Also the spring plates, (well, they aren't plates on mine) don't look right at all. By spring plates I mean the bits of metal that sit on the rear spring that the U-bolts attach to.

Sorry Bill, I'm hijacking your thread here... I'll be quiet.

I'll get in line for the Spicer hubs if they are the blue ones in decent shape.

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

the 4 inch lift includes springs and the steering bar for the steering box. i think it was over $100.00 bu it's self. this would be a pick up piece only. to heavy to ship. thanks for the input. anyone know value of the spicer hubs? all these parts would be in good driver shape or better. like that 4 inch lift was less than 6 months old.

Bill maybe it would depend on what all is included and the condition in my opinion it would need to be nice and complete with shocks/springs/u-bolts/steering arm/and maybe a steering stabilizer to bring that much ...Mike

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

mike is the stabilizer bar and sway bar the same thing ? if so it has it and all the parts you talked about but the springs may need sanding and paint i remember he said the shocks were like new also.

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

well, im going to pass on the lift, as i have a 6" set of front springs for mine and only need a set of rear 4" springs. after thinking about it, itd be silly for me to get a whole kit just for rear springs when someone else could use the kit

do you know anything about the steering box, like where it came from? mine has been tightened down as far as it will go and has slop in it.. also leaks around where the steering shaft goes in.

how much would the steering gear be shipped to 42141, or was that price including shipping?

i have seen the hubs go anywhere from $50-$200 on ebay, depending on shape, but i really have no clue as the worth of them... im more of an aftermarket parts whore than a stocker one, lol

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

all i know is the box has around 5000 miles on it shipping would be around $35.00 because of weight you could almost buy a new one for that.

Re: 4wd parts interest & value

Wouldn't the box and springs be different for a 67 or 68?
