Was wondering about the rear axles in a 68,I want to use a car pattern 5 on 4 3/4,because I have a set of old style 200s wheels,and a new old stock set of western bullets ,and I already have the front rotors on that are a car pattern,should I have the six lug axles drilled or get a pair of five lug axles drilled or is there anyone who knows any were that I can find a set that has a car pattern thanks for looking.

Early Classic Enterprises sells replacement axles for a 68 rear that are either the stock 6 lug or a 5 lug version. I have no idea on costs though but I will be looking for the 5 lug in the future. Here's the link...

For a 5 on 4 3/4 pattern, you will probably have to have the axles & drums redrilled. I think that will run about $150 if you do a little shopping . good luck....crazyL

i had mine redrilled for $40.00 canadian

Thanks for all the info I wanted to see if anyone was doing the same thing ,I am going to have them drilled,and on a 6 lug you have to turn down the centers a little to be able to run a five lug wheel,but if I have to drill them,I'll use the old axles,anyway thanks for the input
