Finally, some body work!!!!

I finally got the Blazer over to the body guy and he has gotten started on my paint and body work. Thought I would toss some pics at you all! I did have some rust thru at the bottoms of both A pillars but you could not tell until the rockers were off. Need to get some patches for the. Also rocker boxer, inside, and B pillars were rock solid but I am going to replace the frame supports as they were damaged by the rust monster. Over all, I am feeling OK about these new findings because they seem very minor compared to what I could have found. Wish I could do body work myself though!

Re: Finally, some body work!!!!

like you said, it's pretty solid further in. looks like mostly outer rocker rot, but really not even that much.

Rayburn will take good care of the ol' girl...... she's actually lived a good life.

I've seen much worse. much, much worse.

Here is a question and an answer. The blazer was originally yellow with what was described by the spid in the glove box as "gold" interior trim. I am going to repaint with medium olive green, #504 and would like the interior to stay the same color as before. I have seen the color offerings in the major catalogues that I and you all frequent, but no gold trim color. I see sandlewood, light and dark and off white but I wonder what I am going to find. I think I will have to take the color to where ever I buy interior stuff to try to get a color I can live with. Anybody have any clues?

Re: Finally, some body work!!!!

504 Olive?! Someone out to copy me, eh??

As for interior colors, I wonder if the same interior colors for the pickups could have been installed in Blazers? If so, I know we've had a few discussions over on the pickup forum. I'd check the truck offering for '70 as well.

I think you know that my rig had a hodgepodge (sp) of colors. Aqua visors and visor keepers, dark green dash pad, light green wheel and column, and dark flat green dash upper. Please do not attempt to repeat those colors on your rig!!!! Psychadelic mannnnn.........
