Checking interest? toomanytoyz' (Rick's) Short step truck possibly for sale??
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=257685
For those who haven't seen the build thread, the link is above. Rick and I have been working hard to build a nice short step with all the stuff!! I have been sidelined with a back injury and the project got delayed. In the interest of helping both of us out I am seeing if there would be any interest in a truck that has had a complete suspension over-haul with new spring (lowered) front end components, rear spring, adjustable track bar, New goodmark 67 fenders, an excellent grill and hood, a very nice 72 Black interior, chrome vents. It will be a complete running driving 350/350 combo with an intake carb, headers and a shift kit in the trans, 3:73 open rear. The bed is a very straight piece with new tailgate and an oak bedwood kit that will come with new strips, oak bedwood and stainless bolts but will not be installed. What is it worth and would you buy it?? The reason I ask is that Rick and I are both exhausted from this project and we are at a crossroads, selling it may be the answer for both?? If you want more picts or have questions, please ask!! Last edited by 70rs/ss; 02-21-2008 at 12:17 AM. |

This sounds like the best course of action to me. Without paint and whatnot it's hard to get back the money invested in a truck. *Most* people only want to pay top dollar for a finished project or a cheap/barely started project truck, even if the hard stuff is done.

yah I don't think people will make $offers for it because you havent put a price range and noone wants to insult you. clean lookin truck so far though.
what about the posibility of making it a roller or something like that? maybe you can get more money out of it if you work it differently? I dont know i' just thinkng outloud. I wont make an offer for a different reason, i dont have any money. |

OMG, I know this has to be hard on both of you. I have talked to Rick a few times about his truck and how badly he wants it finished. I know how these things can go, so if there is anything I can do to help let me know.

Re: Checking interest? toomanytoya Short step truck possibly for sale??
Well, I would put it together and it'll be a running driving truck, most of the body work is done and it has a complete interior. New fenders, perfect, hood and good grill, cab is nearly done, bed is perfect except a cut out from PO who wanted to tub it. It'll run and drive just needs shot the new owner's favorite color. As for Price, that is up to Rick "toomanytoyz" Let us know. I think he might consider breaking it up as he quite a few new never installed parts that do not need to go on the truck?? It is a shame, if I were in a better spot (The reason I sold it in the first place!) I'd buy it myself as I have never finished one of my own truck projects this far!!
