McGaughys from online suspension...EBAY

what would you do..... I seen a auction for McGaughys drop spindles for my 72. It says in the auction description that fri sat and sun buy it now for $200 plus shipping. Great deal...yeah. So I call and answering service and shoot him an email. Monday I receive a EBAY email asking to call him. well today I call him back and he says that to do that he needed to do it on the phone without EBAY. is that not against EBAY rules? I feel as though he should be able to honor the deal. Item number: 290206078712

Why spend the extra $20 from some stranger on ebay you could get screwed by? GMC Pauls is a well known and well respected board vendor, and he has them for $229: http://www.gmcpauls.com/67-72_d&s.htm

I don't know if they do promo/coupon codes. I've never heard of anyone getting one. You might call them, tell em you're a board member, and ask if there are any member deals or free shipping offers or anything. Their shipping is usually pretty reasonable, though, better than what I see from fleaBay.

Re: McGaughys from online suspension...EBAY

You won't regred buying through them.

Another good one you might look into which may be closer and ship faster is Tim Christian's store @ www.classicheartbeat.com

I know neither are the most beautiful stores on the face of the planet, but the service and prices are generally unbeatable when you consider what you get.

On eBay, you won't get personalized service, and if something is screwed up....you're screwed! At least when dealing with board vendors, you know they have a long reputation of kicking serious ass, taking care of customers, offering good prices.

Too often I've found the "cheapest" solution ends up costing me twice as much in the long run.

Hope this helps!!
