Help Carburator is spitting gas out Throttle

I bought this rebuilt carb a few weeks ago. Motor is freshly rebuilt and when I started the truck up for the first time carburator seemed to be working good. We encountered some problems with engine so we stopped working on it for about 4 weeks. This past weekend when I started the motor again gas started pouring out of the carburator, so I had someone check it out to see if the floater was stuck but it wasnt. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

First of all, what kind of Carb is it? When you say gas was pouring out of the carb, where was it pouring out at?

How did you check the "floater"? you have to dissasemble the carb to check the float.
Could be lots of things, like a piece of trash under the needle valve, bad float, torn/missing gaskets.

I have had this problem with the neddle valve before on my old Holley 750 Vac-secondary. Trash from the gase tank gets through the filter somhow and in the neddle seat and floods it out.
