A R T told me that their bags for the front of my 67, at ride height was the same as a 2 in drop spring. what I need is a bag that is the same as 2.5 in drop spring , so combined with my 2.5 drop spindle will give me 5 in drop up front. In back I got 6 in coils no c-notch. is there a bag for the back that will give a 7 in drop at ride height ? I dont want to use blocks cause of pinion angle issues. I know i will have to c-notch in back. Right now I would like to set and go, no compressor or tanks. does this sound do-able or not

Yea i thought of this too but will it effect ride quality at a lower psi ?How much psi to raise or lower .5 inch? I am knew to this so thanks for your patients

Probably only a few pounds to lower it an extra 1/2" but I would suggest cutting the lower bag cups down to get the 1/2" you want... I cut mine down a little over an inch to get the front end lower.

That sounds like a great way to fine tune my stance up front-thanks . How about in back where I need a 7 in drop? can I do that with bags only or do I need blocks too? Any suggestions for bags? RE7?, ART? Firestone?

7" drop w/bags only? Not that I've seen. Bolt the bags directly in place of coils & use lowering blocks & your there.

7" out back with no notch? Hold on to your teeth!

I have Slams RE7's in place of the rear springs and 3" blocks (only advisable with big rollers), and no pinion angle issues yet. I'm sure it's not optimum but there are wedges available to correct it if needed. With 1" blocks I wouldn't be worried.

Here's a pic of my truck at ride height with the bags at the 6" recommended installed height with 1.5" blocks. I'd guess it's around a 7-or-8" drop. The notches are mandatory at this amount of drop...

You can also flip the trailing arm mounting brackets over. This will help with the pinion angle also.

So if I use a 1-1/2 block should i check for pinion alignment if so,what should it be? can I use a magnetic degree finder from somewhere like Harborfreight ? Would I put the degree finder on the tranny pan then on the u-joint cradels on the diff ? Does all this need to be done or am I just making a bunch more work for myself ?

My 68 was a swb w/a 1pc driveshaft, Firestone bags, & 1.5" blocks. I didn't use any shims. Service life so far on the u-joints is/was approx 25K miles (5yrs) w/o issue.

Hey thanks for info SCOTI, I put about 5000 miles per year on . Ill just keep an eye on it and feel for vibes. its swb and one piece drive shaft also.
