Van tilt question

What intermidiate shaft do I need for the van tilt conversion on a 67' ? It has a small spline type end to the van tilt .

Re: Van tilt question

I bought a "van tilt" at a swap meet and it just bolted right up to my existing shaft. Hope this helps. I did have to compress it a little. But it just went right in after that.

Re: Van tilt question

you'll need to locate a 69 - 72 truck in a junk yard and when you pop the hood you'll see it. It bolts to the column, and then to the steering gear box. 67 and some 68's don't have this.

Re: Van tilt question

I read through the FAQ section and wasn't able to find the info I needed . I did the inside part of the conversion to a 68' and had to sell it before I finished it . The van has 36 spline . and my original 68' shaft I believe had a D style . So 69-72 intermediate shaft is what I need ? I bought one at the swap meet this week end and it had a splined end , but was the incorrect shaft diameter . I'm Just looking for a little extra info , not a collection of incorrect shafts .
