How much power can this handle?
I currently have a 69 Chevy C10 2wd. It has a saginaw three speed on the tree. The original motor was a 292. The engine is out and I have a mildly stock 350 for now to put in. Is this tranny able to handle it. Im going to a four speed or auto enventually. But I want to drive it now. How much power can this tranny handle. Your help is appreciated. Brian Wolf

Ya i had the same thing in mine for a while, i bagged on it pretty good and it lasted 6 six years before it died and i put in the 4-speed, and that was only the time i owned the tranny. It should be able to easily handle it.

The saginaw 3spd will handle a fair amount of guff,& should work fine for street use. For drag strip use , I would say no......
