Here is my new toy

Just got it Tuesday from Elko, Nevada, had it hauled here.
ORIGINAL 72 swb 4x4, I just put the tires and wheels on it, need rockers, corners, and one cab mount, bed, doors and front clip are almost perfect. Very original under the hood, Has a good heat shield, I need to find a oil filler tube is about all. Not sure what all the plans are yet but I have a few options to put on it like speed warning/tach, tilt, 72 hooks, change inside to black. I'm going to do more stuff to just got to decide what. Thanks Randy

glad you finally grew a pair and told your wife (or is she gone today )

looks like what you were looking for, at least you can have the body work done right and not just deal with someone elses paint and body work

Re: Here is my new toy

Yay,you got a`72 K/10.Those aren`t big mirrors, just truck mirrors. You can`t see jack out of those teeny car (sport) mirrors in a 4wd.Might as well not run mirrors if those are too big.All the oil spouts you`ve sold and now you need one...oh well.

Re: Here is my new toy

Congrats! As youve discovered just cuz it comes from out here in the desert dont mean it aint got rust! Some of these places get lots of snow and ice and they use whatever it takes to melt it off, unfortunately it melts off metal too! But it looks like with a minimal amount of labor it'll be SWEET! Nice starting condition.

Re: Here is my new toy

Wife:"Randy, that truck`s been here awhile. When are you going to start parting that and get some money back?"
Randy:"I have a guy that may want it whole.I`m waiting to here back."

Later on...

Wife:"What`s going on with that guy?"
Randy:"He wants me to go over it and spoof it up a bit first."

Much later...

Wife:"Randy, are you really going to sell this?"
Randy:"Well......you see...uh...I was thinking..."
Wife:"I don`t know what you`re trying to get out. But,I was thinking it`s such a nice truck that it`s a shame to let it go.Maybe we could keep it around for one of the kids someday. You could just drive it some while making it real nice."
Randy:"Yes dear.If that would make you happy.Anything to please my sweetums."
