Junkyard Score
I was cruising through a local SoCal Pick-a-Part and came upon a 72 Blazer that at first glance looked pretty picked over and bond and rust infested. But to my suprise, the windshield frame was cherry except where the last person yanked the sunvisor mounts off on one side by pulling the weld nuts through the inner windshield frame panel. Pretty sad, but an easy fix. So the hacksaw came out, and the frame went home with me. I also scored the six rear interior pannel supports and the chrome strips that hold the top of the rear panels (no panels though). While I was removing these, I noticed that the two chrome strips that run along the bedsides to hold a single wall top were laying in the bed (the top was gone), so I grabbed these too. I though I couldn't get any luckier until I saw that the truck once had a swing away tire carrier. Just on an off chance that the person who removed the carrier was a retard (same person that ripped the sunvisor out?), I removed the rear marker light and felt for the upper backing plate....it was still in there! The lower one was still stuck to the inside of the lower bedside as well! I ended up walking out of that yard with all of this stuff plus two Blazer door top caps for $40! Days like this make all of the fruitless yard searches I've done not seem so bad.

Re: Junkyard Score
Wish I could score like that on my hunts. All I usually find is torn up crap though. Nice Job!!

Re: Junkyard Score
Gotta love junk yards, my most recent find was a CST transfer case shifter with perfect nob for 30 bucks out a a 72 blazer. Too bad that's pretty much all that was left.
