my remanufactured calipers from ECE are NFG

well all this week ive been slowly puttering on my truck doing the disc brake drop spindle swap inbetween working on customers cars and whatever. anyways tonight i got my dad to help me bleed it and im at the back of the truck obviously and i can see a steady stream of fluid from the drivers front so i go and check and its coming from the banjo bolt so i took it all apart tried new washers made sure it was all tight did the same thing so after lookign a little further into things i notice right where the copper washer would seal is a little dimple thats causing me leak, obviously its too late to phone them now but im hoping they will somehow resolve this for me, kinda sucks being 1900 miles away from them tho

ECE has a good reputation. I bet a dollar to a donut they will make things right.

if they are supposed to be stock style components, then just go to NAPA and get some, andreturn the ECE ones for refund being defective.

this is what im going to try and do in the morning, my biggest concern is the logistics like i said 1900 miles away and in canada but so far theyve been a top notch company to deal with so far, i was just wondering if anyone else had come across this before, hopefully i can get a replacement there a raybestos part number on the box so well see what tomorrow brings

ECE is great. But,I`d never use mail order to buy common over the counter replacement parts.

X3 Parts like drop spindles would be items that I would purchase through ECE but the more common parts sucj as beake parts and the like I would noemally purchase through auto parts stores. I hope you get all things straightened out.

well not sure if i would call these common replacement parts seeing as i originally had drum brakes on the truck, the reason i went this route was because it came as a drop spindle disc brake swap kit

I work at a mechanic shop, and i see that ALOT. New or remanufactured calipers. Dont bash on ECE yet.. Just send em back, and get new ones, or fix what you have and see if they will reimburse you something....

Re: my remanufactured calipers from ECE are NFG

I knew ECE would take care of you either way man....

I had a 72 truck a couple years back tore down to the frame and was putting it back together and going with a small block, so I called them and ordered the 4/6 Drop kit. I assembled the chassis using the springs and then a few months later decided to go with a big block after having one drop in my lap. So I called up Early Classic to order some big block springs for the front and in my conversation mentioned why I was having to order them and Stan told me that there was no reason I should be stuck with them and that he would take them back. They sent me the new springs, charged me for just the shipping and sent a return label so I could send the small block springs back!

To me... that's service and I will always remember it!
