Sat pics (3-22) A bit different, check em out!

I've generally been posting my Saturday pics as they were taken and then coming back later with some edited/tinted images. Well, this week I'm starting with the edited ones and I'll add the originals later. I hadn't ever tried any of this before and you guys might not like it.................but here it goes!

This shot is the same truck as above........I just fiddled with the color.

Well......Let me know what you think.

Very cool. I love the "No Trucks Allowed"... That would make a fantastic poster. Have you ever thought of doing this professionally? I'm sure a lot of your stuff would sell.

Great pics see ten. I took some pics of my mini-junkyard a few days ago. You have got me trying new things with my camera. I didn't even know it had a sepia and B&W setting. I have always done it with software, but these were done with the camera set on B&W.

I don't know what kind of bike it is but here's an unaltered image of it.

67_C30, Did you take any pics of that bed that you said you might sell while you were out there playing with the camera?

Here's a couple more images guys.

Nice valve covers. Pics a very cool. That bike reminds me of a Schwinn Krate but without springer forks. It must be the other one. The shifter is always a treat to see. Some repops are at Wally world but not worth the same dollar but cool nonetheless.

Re: Sat pics (3-22) A bit different, check em out!

I'm pretty sure the bike is a '68 or '69 Sears 3 speed Spyder. That particular chainguard is more common on the Screamer, but I've seen it some on early Spyders. They competed with the original Schwinn Stingray Krates.

Asa, I didn't get any pics of that bed. It is at my brother's house. My problem deciding is due to fact that it is on a fairly decent truck. I'm just not sure I want to part it out.

Getting a visual here.I need to come down with my 16" Schwinn Runabout. It looks like a mini StingRay and it`s a 3spd stick.I just ran out and got this shot of it.I`ve been wanting to haul my bikes out and snap some pics, but this`ll give you an idea.I`m 5'10"/185 and it`s a gas peddlin`it around. You know,I remeber that bike you have from the catalogue, now. It`s totally original.I thought it was so cool being chrome and with a flame job seat.Mine had red-line tires and a metalflake purple seat.

I have a couple of them.....A friend of mine had a $100K collection of the old krates and so on. I have a couple of the cheaper ones I got when the collection was sold off.

Re: Sat pics (3-22) A bit different, check em out!

Cool bike Tim! I'm a big 'ol boy at around 6' 1" and three bills, so the 20" inchers don't do for me anymore. I'd have to ride either my '52 Shelby Traveller, '39 Collegiate, or my '49 Schwinn B-6. I could also ride my '38 Seminole, but ya'll would laugh at me because I was on a girls bike with the factory dress guard on the rear fender!

My Schwinn has most of the tins taken off in the pics below because I plan on restoring it (one day). The pic of the restored autocycle and streamline is what My B-6 looks like with the horn tank, rear rack, chaingaurd, front fender and light. The only difference in mine and this Autocycle/Streamline is that mine didn't have the springer forks and, chrome rack, chrome wheels. It has the same black and white paint scheme, and is identical otherwise.

I shot all of these pics with a lil point and shoot Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS.

I don't have any cool old cruiser bikes to go ridin the hood on but here's a pic of my dad on his trike. I couldn't tell you how old he is in the pic, but he was born in 1945.

And here it is now.

Re: Sat pics (3-22) A bit different, check em out!

I also have this '36 Pilot which is a super rare bike, but it wasn't a barn find like my others. I think I'm going to put some repro 2.125" X 26" tires on it, and make it "rat rod bicycle" wall hanger. Yeah! - Maybe like a patine'd shop bike! It would probably be my best bike if it weren't so rough. I have not been able to find parts for it, so I have no realistic plans of even trying to restore it.
