headers with factory AC
I remeber looking at this post before but can not find need to know what are you guys using to mount back part of compressor to engine or headers

Most of the header mfg's sell a bracket that works with the A-6 compressor. I bought mine at a speed shop. Heres a link.

I'm not using the back braces on mine. It seems as if its working fine without them.

I'll have to look when I get home, but I don't believe my truck has any brackets on it while running headers... I will post some pics on Friday.

You can make your own out of 1/2 inch steel pipe. Just cut it to length to get the compressor straight at the front of the engine. Thats how I did mine on the 71. Then just get a couple of longer stainless header bolts to run into the head.
