Cluster Light Problems
I have all my other interior lights working now except for my cluster lights...I noticed in the fuse box there is a spot that reads cluster feed---is that what I'm missing or any ideas???

Re: Cluster Light Problems
cluster feed would be to wire in aftermarket guages, so they would dim with the rheostat.

Re: Cluster Light Problems
I have tried extra grounds...everything...which copper leads on the harness connector should have juice for the lights --on the plug that plugs into the cluster--I even cleaned the heck out of all the copper leads...I'm lost...

Re: Cluster Light Problems
Have you checked circuit continuity on your printed circuit board with a meter? You may have a bad board.

Re: Cluster Light Problems
No..I haven't done that yet...but I have tried two seperate boards...the only light that comes on is the turn signal--but that is very weak--I would think it was a ground but I have tried extra grounds through wires, alligator clips, and even tried touching the darn thisn to the dash to ground it...I have all new fuses, new dimmer switch, new headlight switch, new dome light, new everything. I even found the factory ground and its working...

Re: Cluster Light Problems
Since you have eliminated the possibility of a ground problem and parts failure, you need to check for voltage. I'd start with "U" shaped connector and check to make sure you have the 12 vdc needed and work yourself up to the instrument panel connector.
If your lights are weak it's possible you may have a high resistance on one of your feed wires. Let us know what you find... |

Re: Cluster Light Problems
the U shaped plug has nothing to do with the inst panel, that's just brake lights and turn signals.
