Nice job. Can't wait to see your truck completed! I saw 76bonanza's beautiful 68LWB on there with my custom door panels in it

Bob...not this weekend...LOL! I have a terrible schedule. This weekend to Oregon to move the MIL into a senior home. Weekend before last was FL for work. I hope to get back on the Longhorn Saturday after next. I will take pics...this is killing me since the paint project is so close! Larry says one good day and we could be ready to paint!

Re: '68 50th Anniversary Bucket Seat Covers

Hey guys,
I have a question for you 50th anniv. owners, my 68 might be an anniv. truck but some things don't add up for me to be 100% correct. First of all were their 50th anniv. stepside trucks? and does their have to be bucket seats, air, tilt etc. in an anniversary truck? Mine is a CST and has since been restored and bed changed from step to fleet and painted black but I have found traces of gold paint.

thanks for any light on the anniv. model.................Rick

Re: '68 50th Anniversary Bucket Seat Covers

The 50th Anniversary option was available on any truck...even the El Camino! It was IVORY/GOLD Option No. 551. Check your SPID and see what paint code you have and that will tell you if it is an Anniversary option truck.

I have never seen a 50th panel, elcy, nor stepside... but, they were indeed avalible.
You could get it on vans too!
Buckets were not requred, as seen in one of the attached photos, burbs didn't get the lower portion in white, and 50ths in a shoert/wide look KILLER slammed!

Re: '68 50th Anniversary Bucket Seat Covers

Huck, I am leaning toward some of those funky old clear plastic covers made...LOL! I saw some recently in a cab in FL. BTW...this will be my camping rig...it will be used. It is going on tour to the midwest next summer. No junkyard cruising though. I would like to do TN and the midwest board meet next summer.

Re: '68 50th Anniversary Bucket Seat Covers

I would really like to do one of the board meets in the midwest. I need to visit Huck in TN, Indy...possibly for the NHRA drags and whatever else I can pack into a couple of weeks on the road.

That project in Guam is still going on...LOL! They could only afford me for 30 days and it will take over a year to finish. Like they needed me THAT weekend....geez!
