...and that was when gas was 27 cents a gallon - you could fill that thing for 5 or 6dollars from bone dry!

The shell served it`s purpose back in the day.Same reason why guys bought trucks.Figure they saved the bed floor in most cases,so thanks for that.I never liked them,either.Beats sleeping with bugs and rain,though.
