Re: steel body parts

I've heard that Goodmark has good reproduction sheetmetal but I have never personally delt with them so I couldn't tell you for sure. I know someone on these boards can though.

Re: steel body parts

Any of the board sponsers would be a good place to buy sheetmetal. Most people prefer body parts made by Tri-Plus (Key Parts). Shipping is so expensive, you would be well served trying to find a local dealer.

ive had pretty good luck with LMC. ive owned 3 67-72 C10's and ive gotten all replacement sheetmetal or pretty much anything stock wise from them.

Re: steel body parts

Goodmark or Tri-Plus are two brands with a good reputation. Like VTBOGEY said- try to find a local dealer 'cause the shipping is getting pretty pricey.
BTW- the double-cab in your avatar looks totally kick a$$. If you have any more pics- PM them to me, I'd like to check 'em out ( I was a V-dub guy in my past life).

Re: steel body parts

I've never heard of good aftermarket sheetmetal.I've got a Goodmark drivers door on my truck. It's 20 lbs lighter than a G.M.,and had to be tweaked to fit.I also had Goodmark front and rear bumpers. The front bumper mounting holes were off about 1/2" from side to side.I threw it in the scrap pile,(seriously)I'ts just my opinion, but I think aftermarket sheetmetal is junk.NOS or real nice used is the way to go.Im not trying to slam Goodmark, but what I got was'nt that nice. You can find some nice stuff on the board, and I've had good luck with E-bay,but you gotta pay sometimes.Good luck
