I haven't read anything about a top for it, but that doesn't mean it won't have one. It should have one though if it is to be named a K5!

Looks like a cross between my 86 Toyota Pick up 4x4 and an Avalanch. I like it and I like Avalanches. It will probably be $60,000 though and will be named the Hunter or something stupid.

I'd say that a production version would have to have a top. It couldn't be like an avalanche, because those are rear seats that are folded down. A couple years ago some guys from GM were up at my college recruiting from our FutureTruck program, and they brought a 2 DOOR 4x4 blazer (actually a Tahoe, but they'll always be a blazer to me) with the new body style. As you may or may not know, GM does not currently make a 2 door version of the Tahoe. It was ultra cool looking. 33" BFG All Terrains, 3" body lift, and not much of a rear overhang at all (for like a 75 degree departure angle) I wish GM would make something like this again. The new Tahoes and Burban's have become too wimpy and soccer momish looking. (Even the Z71 versions)

I saw that on Car and Driver on TNN. It did have the current 1/2 ton front end. Instead of a folding seat it had half doors behind the front door. If you look closely you can see the cut out in the pic. The half door folds around 180 degrees to allow access to the rear seat. They didn't say anything about a top. But how likely would it be set for production without a top. For those who don't already know, in Mexico you can buy a K-5 that is essentially a 2 door tahoe.
