Just need to put a hitch on the Blazer now!!

It is called a teardrop camper. I made this one so I can put my dirt bike on the front! Queen size bed inside and a galley/kitchen on the outside back!

Couple more shots...of the Blazer friend.

Picture before the paint went on...it is covered in Durabak/Truck bedliner which I would never use again...it cracked from being in the sun so I had to epoxy the roof and do the top again.

Interior of the Blazer isn't all that exciting...need seats...and stereo...new steering wheel...kind of a running project.

This is when you are laying down and the back wall...usually have a DVD player...radio...clock...

I got the information and directions from this site www.mikenchell.com ...a lot nicer stuff there than mine....this one looks like a cartoon compared to a lot of them. This was my first attempt to build anything out of wood....I may build another one to pull behind the minivan.

This one just because I think it is cool and would also look good behind a Blazer.

And once I have the wood working part figured out I will make one with a oak wood exterior and fancy cabinets in the back.

The website I put above has plans for the one I made(Generic Benroy Plans)...the box part anyway...I made the frame for off road clearance and motorcycle hauler.

The cheapest I ever heard anyone build one for was $600(I think he bought a trailer from a rummage sale and had the wood laying around)...I have approx $2500ish into mine.

Yes it is...that was my 1998...sold that and currently have a 2003. Very fun little toy along with the other ones!

You have a very nice collection. I had an 87 TW200 when I was 15 and drove it around with my 125cc/moped license. The local cops had no idea what cc the TW was and no one bothered to ask (it was a VERY small town where everone knows everone). I really had a blast on that bike. I also have a late 60's honda 50cc that is disassembled and ready to be restored. My favorite uncle gave it to me when I was five. Yours looks like an early 70's maybe? The red Honda with the training wheels is my sons...2006 CRF 50 and the one behind it was my first motorcycle...1973 Harley Davidson x-90...I have a twin to it in the garage for a parts bike...my next project.

Weight on this setup is about 1500. I went heavier than need be because of being able to mount the bike on the front. 2x3 steel frame...if you don't put the motorcycle up front 2x2 angle iron would of worked. You can easily build one in the 900-1200 pound range. People pull the normal size ones with PT Cruisers and Volkswagens.

WOW I was way off! At first glance the old HD looked just like my old Honda minitrail 50. Please apologize to the old girl for me next time you go out to the garage. The Hondas didn't have rear suspension, I should have noticed the HD's rear shocks...

At first,I thought this was going to be a thread about consumating a friendship with your Blazer.

Great job on thay teardrop.And,thanks for pointing us in the direction of that website.I`m envious of your toy collection.And,totally jealous if you actually get out and have fun with it(I`m sure you do).
One criticism on the camper...That thing is SCREAMIN` for a pair of slots!!!!
