Arrow Re: Better jump on this one before it's gone!

that thing has been listed several time's for the last several month's ,
when I first saw it I thought it was some kind of joke they but a buy it now of like $14000.00 , and beyond the fact that it is a poorly put together mess that would have to be stripped and redone anyway ITS A LONG WHEELBASE !
I guess I agree with what someone said in this post that the owner must be someone who know's nothing about the old car & truck hobby or they would not waste what ebay fee's it cost's to list it , best case that truck would be $1000 and that's after an in person inspection provided the body ISN'T AS BAD AS THOSE PIC'S MAKE IT LOOK !

if he want's to see what a REAL TRUCK in good condition SHORT BED will bid up to he should look at this beauty ! this one hurt's me ! it is painfull to read about ! and look at the underneath shot's ! MAN WHAT A TRUCK !

Re: Better jump on this one before it's gone!

It's so sad what people fall for on ebay. There's a sucker born every minute, and then they look on ebay to part with their money. I don't see why that red truck deserves to be in a showroom. Someone is going to have a bad day when something falls off driving down the road. The hubcap covers slay me. Either have them on all 4 or don't... And that mileage

I'm pretty sure this was part of the RPO BS4U Corvette engine-and-trim package...

I always worry about stuff that's only painted from the top; look at the engine - dirty, except for the valve cover and air cleaner. New paint hides old sins...

Re: Better jump on this one before it's gone!

Yikes! The interior IS rough. Look at the duct tape on the heater box... the heater controls... the guages... the lack of weather stripping on the drivers side door area. That is no way an $8000 truck. With the rust bubble on the rear bottom of the drivers door, I'd be hard pressed to give $2000.

Someone ought to email him. Maybe he's just naive.

Definatly a bondo bucket, especially around the drivers door. They must be high on something to think that it is worth that much. In that case mine must be worth 20 grand as it sits in pieces.

Re: Better jump on this one before it's gone!

I have sent two emails asking about the paint and lack of quality as the pictures would seem to indicate. I asked him if the paint was that bad or was it due to his camera. No response yet.

Re: Better jump on this one before it's gone!

Decent rig, not for that money, but I'd put her to work and cruise it, but not for that much $$$.

All old trucks have their "character flaws", such as bailing wire for a positive battery cable (my GMC), and many other hokey things done over the years to keep them on the road. For $2k I might buy, but not for his Buy-It-Now, and a good example of inspecting and driving the truck before bidding.

That green one is nice, and a good example of the pictures I like to see on eBay. He showed all parts somebody would ask about, nicely focused and not shinning over the fact that it's a 40 year old rig.
