Re: Radio?
If you can keep from cutting, you'll be a lot better off. Just my own opinion on these old trucks. I hate to see them cut.
But, as others will tell you, it's your truck. Here's a post that has a site for you to look at. That "retrosounds" radio is nice. Has a lot of modern features including USB port in front! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=288654 |

Re: Radio?
Any single-din size radio will fit, but you will have to do some judicious cutting of the dash to create a hole for the sleeve to slip into. When you do it correctly, the trim will finish it all off and it will look nice. Screw up and get the hole too big and you will have blown it.
The alternative is one of the aftermarket, nee Custom Autosound units that have two shafts to fit the existing mounting. Problem is, I read more negative comments on those radios than I read on cutting a dash. It's your truck and it's your choice.

Re: Radio?
Check out Custom AutoSound, currently they are building factory style radios with newer technology built in. I wouldn't cut the dash.
Hope this helps!

Re: Radio?
those rdios suck. fill the hole in the dash with an old stocker and tuck the deck in the glove box or under the seat. you can properly fit 2 8in subs under the bench..good luck.

Re: Radio?
I guess I am the only one here who thinks those retro radios look like crap. The one nice thing is the knobs match the knobs on the rest of the dash. I was fortunate/unfortunate (depending on your opinion) to have a truck with the dash already cut. My project is rewiring the speakers and sub.
