What is this?
Is this right? What did the PO do here?? Found this in my door and several hidden spots around the body...

Re: What is this?
I'll take a wild guess and say he removed the body trim and welded in the holes.

Re: What is this?
Yeah, I know it's welded, but what are the lighter areas that look like "worms"? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm new to welding/body work.

Re: What is this?
You could look inside my doors, fenders, cab and bed and see the same thing, I removed the trim and welded the holes. If it is a good job, you and I will be the "only" ones that know it too.

Re: What is this?
maybe a dent was there or even a hole + dent, so the little holes are from a slide hammer, and the big hole got welded shut and the small ones bondo'd over.

Re: What is this?
Those "worm" like protrusions are definately bondo. I have seen that a hundred times on the backside of sheet metal that was pulled out by holes and a slide hammer.

Re: What is this?
Ok makes sense! The big hole was where the trim hole was (Shaffer4 guessed right!) and I just didn't know what the other stuff was. The "worms" are only in a few hidden places, so it kinda freaked me out

Re: What is this?
I agree that it looks like body filler. Coat the weld and "worms" with something waterproof - maybe epoxy or at least rustoleum paint. Body filler is like talc and absorbs moisture if left uncovered it will start to blister.
