Proportioning Valve. Do I have the Correct One?
I have done a swap from 6 lug Drums to 5 disk brakes in the front/6 lug drums to 5 lug drums in the back. My truck is a 69' with power brakes. Do I need to change the Proportioning Valve or am I okay with my current setup? Thanks, Harry
Update: Seems I may have to change the Master Cylinder also.

Re: Proportioning Valve. Do I have the Correct One?
you need to change the prop valve to one from a disc brake truck because the residual pressure values are different fot discs and drums

Re: Proportioning Valve. Do I have the Correct One?
does the year of the truck matter? Looks like 71-87 would work. How about a later year? (tons of later models in the bone yard) What about the master cylinder. Whatever truck I get the Prop. Valve from' can I use the same master cylinder? Thanks, Harry
