I see them go for around $100 to $150 if it is a non posi.

Re: WIW a 73 C10 5 bolt

It would depend on the ratio. Not alot of guys are wanting 4.10s these days,or even 3.73s.

Re: WIW a 73 C10 5 bolt

the rearend is probably the most valuable thing on the truck if its in scrapyard condition ---

$200 iss a bit high unless its a posi rearend

Re: WIW a 73 C10 5 bolt

$25-250 depending on the gears and a posi or not. The 5 on 5 rears are little more desireable for the pattern, but $200 is high unless it is a 3:08-3:73 posi in great shape (no metal in the oil)

Re: WIW a 73 C10 5 bolt

used rears are pretty much a crap shoot you really have no way of telling if its good or bad or for that case if it's even rebuildable//$50-$100 is what i'd be willing to pay

People do it, but it is not an exact thing as the pre 70 rears are about .75 inch narrower on each axle. Other than that you could pull the axles and put them in the earlier housing.

Some folks have made spacers to that they could use the axles in their housings, but I am not sure about all of where and how they did it.
