New plug wires?
New plug wires?
I need to buy a new set of 8mm plug wires for my 75 C10 350 with HEI. If I buy a new set of AC Delco wires will they be spiral wound or just carbon impregnated like the old wires?

Re: New plug wires?
I am running the MSD 8 MM wires. They are one of the lowest resistance wires on the market and they are spiral wound for protection.
The lower resistance works to increase Horsepower. |

Taylor Spyro-Pro? Bronco guys seem to just love those, along with the MSD blaster coil with the E-core setup...

Re: New plug wires?
I bought a set of 8.5mm MegaFire wires from Skip White on Ebay and they worked great on the Blazer I had. I just bought another set to go on the 350 that is going into the C10.
If I had the extra $$ I would buy MSD or Taylor but the current gas situation has got me strapped.

Re: New plug wires?
Thanks for the replies.
All I have ever used is AC Delco wires but I do not like the carbon impregnated cord construction. The Delco wires on the truck are 15 years old and are light gray in color just like the plug wires that came from the factory. These plug wires measured from 3,000 to 11,000 ohmes when new. Eight years ago I purchased a set of AC Delco wires that are dark gray with yellow printing that says: “AC-Delco-Packard Delcore Electronic Supression-8MM 1Q00”. The resistance of these wires is higher than any other new wire I have ever measured 8,000 to 20,000 ohmes. Surely some one sells wires that look and fit like the factory wires but use lower resistance wire.
